Excellent communications skills is one of the vital skills that a successful telesales representative must possess. They must be able to effectively start and maintain a meaningful conversation with the customers.

Excellent communication skills involve understanding the customer’s tone and adjusting theirs in a manner that will build trust and rapport with the customer. Another important thing is being able to explain complex concepts in an easier and understandable way. 

Proper knowledge on telephone and computer systems

Part of a telesales representative is to navigate through telephone and computer systems. This is why a good knowledge about these types of systems is a requirement in this kind of job. In addition, they also have to be knowledgeable about other computer programs used in the job, including customer relation management software

A successful telesales representative should be able to efficiently carry out all required aspects involved in making sales.
