CEBU CITY, PH (June 7, 2024) — OP360 (OfficePartners360) kicked off its Pride Month celebration this year with an exclusive learning session, “IGNITE – Integrating Growth: Nurturing Intersectional Thinking for Executives.” Organized by Mariposa, the company’s LGBTQIA+ business resource group, the event brought together vice presidents and C-level leaders to deepen their understanding of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression (SOGIE).
To ensure an impactful experience, Mariposa joined forces with Ian Fegalan, a Trustee of the Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP), and Hender Gercio, Growth and Partnerships Manager at Denominator, who kept the participants engaged in an interactive discussion and benchmarking session, respectively.
Atty. Tess Tan, Senior Director of Legal and Compliance and Executive Sponsor of Mariposa at OP360, shared her thoughts on the importance of the event.
“Top-down leadership is vital in driving meaningful change and an inclusive culture. When senior management actively participates in Pride events, it sends a powerful message that Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belongingness (DIB) is a priority, igniting the rest of the organization. The IGNITE session marked the beginning of OP360’s month-long Pride celebration across its locations. Other relevant initiatives available year-round to the larger OP360 community include the SOGIE 101 and Business of Inclusion Training. This self-paced module developed by the company’s training department has already been adopted by MNCs operating in the Philippines.
